Unanimous approval for Cannabis in Sacramento!

On November 28th, 2017, Sacramento City council along with Mayor Stienberg voted unanimously to allow cannabis delivery among other cannabis related ordinances and regulations. We (the CCCA) were instrumental in convincing Joe Devlin, head of the office of Cannabis Policy and Enforcement in Sacramento, the City council and Mayor Steinberg to create an ordinance allowing cannabis delivery. We then convinced Joe to present a tiered licensing model for non-storefront delivery businesses similar to what they did for manufacturing. With data about local delivery businesses, the CCCA  was able to show that most are small businesses doing less than $500k per year and that a $23k business operating permit would cripple most of them. Now, there are two tiers for non-storefront delivery business operating permits.
